| Description | In this presentation, I showed the interiors in Czech and Moravian mansions, decorated in the so called Chinese style. I spoke about the wall (and ceiling, if applicable) decorations. Generally spoken, the chinoseries appeared here later than in West Europe: the few oldest ones date from the early 18th cent. They were either decorated by local artist, who imitated Chinese patterns, or decorated with original Chinese wall-papers. |
