Description | Elite sport is associated with increased physical and mental load, which in the case of insufficient regeneration contribute to the overload of young elite athletes. The combination of stress, increased fatigue, excessive load and stereotypical training in the long term contributes to the development of overtraining syndrome. There are also other interfering factors, such as personality traits and parental motivational climate. This study maps theoretical bases for examining parental motivational climate and selected personality traits as potential risk factors contributing to overtraining syndrome. |
