| Description | The monograph Paths to Adulthood: Psychological and Social Characteristics of Current Vicenarians presents current views on the various forms of the transition to adulthood among early adults in the Czech Republic. The book updates current knowledge on the process of becoming adult and on early adults’ experiences during this process. Besides the descriptions of the development of autonomy and identity, the main chapters map the relationship issues of early adults in relationship with parents and with romantic partners, and the study and career issues. Using data from a five-year longitudinal study and several satellite studies the volume brings information about how young people feel during the period characteristic with high level of personal freedom in decision making about direction in further life, a period offering a multitude of paths to adulthood they can choose from. |
