Description | In this post, I will discuss two concepts of the ancient Greek god Eros, which is outlined in Plato's dialogue Symposium (there is inserted into the mouth of the poet Pausanias). It will be divided into three parts. In the first part I will try to deal with the question of what role actually talk "before Socrates' dialogue throughout the play (because it can be argued that the stated opinions on Eros, does not hold Plato, but previous speakers). So generally illuminate the context of dialogue. The second part will focus directly on Pausaniovu talking about eros. In the last part I will try to outline some important consequences that this conception of the ancient god could have for the whole Plato's theory of ideas. |
