| Description | In this review article the clinically significant drug interactions with antibiotics are mentioned, which may manifest in different levels: pharmaceutical incompatibilities, pharmacokinetic, pharmacodynamic interactions. Many of them are well documented and can be included among predictable. On the other hand, the drug interactions with antibiotics tend to be often overlooked in clinical practice, unfortunately and these are also mostly preventable. Reduce the risk of side effects related with drug-drug interactions with antibiotics is possible through the raise awareness and knowledge about drug interactions, and in this manner to optimize pharmacotherapy. |
