Description | Based on previous analyses of textbook content the author examines trends in foreign language textbooks in the context of the Framework Educational Programme for secondary schools and considers the options for presentation of topics that promote the values of democracy and develop critical thinking. The methods of critical discourse analysis and the concept of Eco´s open and closed text were applied in the research. |
