| Description | Metal precise loads (1) used especially in laboratory conditions become contaminated and polluted on the surface during the use, e.g. from the ambient air, by touching with hands, water adsorption, etc. The contaminants (3) cause an increase in the weight of the load (1) over the allowed tolerance, which leads to reclassification of the load (1) into a lower class of accuracy and the need to purchase a new load (1). According to the invention, the load (1) is, on the surface, provided with the photocatalytic layer (2), which adsorb the contaminants (3), and the contaminated load (1) is then irradiated with electromagnetic radiation (9) having a wavelength of 0.2 to 1000 nm. During the subsequent photocatalytic reaction, the contaminants (3) are converted into the gas phase (10) and conducted away from the surface of the load (1), which thus returns to the initial nominal value of its weight. |
