| Description | Economic theory of the last more than two decades focuses on the relationship between the economic integration and the separatism. The literature on this topic, however, do not coincide on the direction of this effect. This paper deals with separatism and secession and their support in Catalonia and Scotland, which is analyzed in the context of the European integration. The EU is an important factor in the creation of the so called global paradox. |
