Description | Primary prevention of addictive behavior is considered an effective instrument to reduce its incidence in the population. Although university students are not the typical risk groups, it is desirable to apply and spread the positive patterns of behavior when meeting with patients, pupils and clients. Using an anonymous questionnaire custom design on 21 items were interviewed 2,176 respondents - 9 full-time students of all faculties of Masaryk University. The sampling served snowball sampling method. The collected data were electronically recorded and subjected to statistical processing program EPIINFO. Differences between groups were analyzed by x2 test and its modifications. More than a fifth intervieweed sample at the University met the addiction prevention, mostly in education, much less on dormitory and various educational and special interest events. The preventive effects are used mainly monologue lectures, sparsely lectures with discussion and participation in external prevention programs, sporadic discussions with experts, visits to treatment centers for addicts and participation in artistic and sporting events. Very often (80%), the university prevention primarily related to alcohol and nicotine problems, only a tenth of the sample was asked by complexly conceived pathological addictions prevention. Nearly two-thirds of the group consider the prevention of addictions at the University helpful, though not always targeted, he can not take a position one third, tenth to pronounce on the level of prevention critically. Most respondents (90%) think that implementing primary prevention of addictions at Masaryk University is not dedicated enough time, it is not systematic, offer preventive activities is poor. Addressed students would welcome more frequent use of meetings with experts and former drug users. A third of those surveyed would like to cooperate on the preventive project events in university and beyond. |
