Description The qualitative study in which students were encouraged to appreciate the purposes, differences, and connections between scientific text, which must meet certain criteria, and extended poetry metaphor. The study highlights the power of poetry to stimulate observation, imagination, and emotion in science teaching. Proper examples of poems, could be used to demonstrate its capacity to provide both a formal and playful tool by which to examine the language of science.
