Description The survey was focused on the attitudes and opinions of three elementary schools pupils in Brno for substance abuse and drug prevention. It was the type of quantitative research using anonymous questionnaire. The results showed that almost a fifth of the sample consisted of tobacco smokers, a fifth of cannabis consumers. Almost 40% of the group drank alcoholic beverages. Most often were drugs used due to escape from problems and need to identify with a group. Most children trust their parents, entrusts them with problems, but it can not be said about the school environment. Preventive activities taking place in schools, but they are mostly formal, sporadic, pupils unattractive, poorly motivate them towards a healthy lifestyle.
