| Description | With regard to the needs of the LŠSS attendees, the study summarizes the major features of the speech of the town where they get acquainted with Czech. It shows its connections to the speech of the surroundings, to the development of the national composition of the town and to the present-day stratification of the Brno speech. It also mentions its specific part, so-called hantec, a distinctive sociolect, which even today draws attention not only in Czechia, but also among the foreign visitors of the town. |
