| Description | Matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (MALDI MS) based method for ß-secretase enzyme assay was optimized in order to enable direct quantification of enzyme activity of ß-secretase. For this purpose MALDI MS-specific requirements for sample characteristics were reflected in optimized incubation parameters of studied enzyme assay. This allowed us to present an analytical method capable of direct quantification a product of enzyme reaction in the sample with no need for sample pretreatment and high degree of precision. |
