Description | Until now, there hasn't been any psychometrically verified test for identification of extraordinary mathematical talent in the Czech Republic. Therefore, our centre has developed the Test for Identification of Talented Pupils in Mathematics (TIM) with the purpose of measuring mathematical abilities in the "well above average" ranges in pupils in 3rd to 5th grade. After a short theoretical introduction into the problematics of talent the article describes the complex process of TIM's development, ways of its verification and possibilities of its use in pedagogical practice. |
