Description | This study focuses on the intertextual references to the Schulz theme of the Book in modern Israeli literature, namely in David Grossman's novel "See Under: Love" and in Amir Gutfreund's short story "Trieste" from "The Shoreline Mansions". It interprets the theme of the Book in its forms – Book-Authentic, Book-album, The Book of Splendor and Book that is not – and depending on its changes the study interprets also its functions in relation to Schulz pretexts, i. e. "The Cinnamon Shops" and "Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass". |
