Description | The paper was focused on the importance of the natural environment in thinking about the future cities. The paper was trying to answers questions such as: What were the considerations of Czechoslovak architects, land planners and other experts about the importance of the natural environment for the ideal "socialist city"? How did they think of everyday life in cities? What were the solutions proposed? The paper brought the model of three modes of thinking about the future of cites: fiction, prognosis, plan. These modes point to the everlasting friction of architects between art (fiction), science (prognosis) and technique (plan). |
