| Description | The concept of legal pluralism is based on the empirical fact that in a certain territory other legal norms of different origins operate besides national law. These norms do not necessarily have an institutional form. The national dimension of legal pluralism focuses on the operation of non-state legal and quasi-legal normative systems in addition to national law in the given territory. The European and global dimension of legal pluralism focuses on the consequences of globalization and Europeanisation of law on plurality of law. |
