| Description | The persistently high number of patients with tick-borne diseases and respect to aversion of some people to synthetic repellents has led us the idea to carry out a study focused on repellent efficiency of selected natural substances. The results of this comparative study show that the use of essential oils may have a significant potential to protect humans against ticks, but the effect can be influenced by many factors (chemical nature of the tested substance, evaporation rate, ambient temperature ...). |
