| Description | The paper reflects the current and frequently discussed topic of mediation institutionalization. Our main aim is to answer a question into what extent mediation is institutionalized in the Czech Republic, how it has become used in the Czech environment and whether institutionalization of mediation is advantageous. In the introduction we introduce terms and concepts of institution and institutionalization and describe ways how to measure its extent. This may work as a theoretical base for future empirical research. In the conclusion there are suggestions and recommendations for strengthening the institutionalization of mediation and for its recognition by professionals as well as by lay people in the interest of its participants and community. |
