• Description: Although Siberian snail fauna is rather species-poor due to harsh climate condi­tions for most molluscs, even there species can be still found that are new to science. In this paper, I report on two of these species, Punctum lozeki and Vertigo chytryi, which refer to two significant Czech natural scientists who greatly influenced the scientific career of the author.
