Description Boron isotope variations in tourmaline from metacarbonates and associated calc-silicate rocks of the eastern part of the Bohemian Massif seem to be independent both on regional geological position and petrographic position within the rock. Boron isotope values largely overlap with the range of isotopic composition reported for crystalline rocks of the continental crust. Tourmaline signatures must be interpreted in the broader regional context of boron cycling in the Variscan orogeny.
