Description | The target group of the application are the users of TIM3-5 - Test for Identifying Gifted Students in Mathematics in grades 3 through 5. The user will type the scores of all individual items in the application, after the very administration of the test (the administration itself is realized in classic paper-pencil fashion). The program carries out the evaluation, which is psychometrically based on Rasch partial credit model and generates for each assessed student the results in form of several scores: percentiles, T-scores, W-scores and so called modified relative proficiency index. The program also generates validation table, which compares the actual responses of the child with responses predicted on the basis of the model and determined level of ability (latent trait) having been measured. Users can utilize this table for establishing the validity of each particular assessment (the results of an assessment shall be put aside as unreliable in case of high occurrence of unexpected responses) and as a source for eventual further diagnostic hypotheses regarding the tested child's abilities. |
