Description | The presentation focused on the criticism of the Church as of an institution in Robert Browning's poetry. It discussed mainly its analysis of the three key characters: Guido, Caponsacchi and Pompilia, who all defy the institution in the different manner. Guido points towards it being solely a political institution, Caponsacchi questions its helpful nature and Pompilia denies its meaningfulness for an individual in trouble. |
