Description | Based on an extensive field survey in 1998–2017 combining several sampling methods, altogether 241 species of Auchenorrhyncha (Hemiptera) are reported from the Jizerské hory Mts, Frýdlant region and vicinity of the city of Liberec in the northernmost part of the Czech Republic. This represents 41% of all Auchenorrhyncha species known from the Czech Republic. One species, Macropsis fragilicola, is reported here for the first time from the Czech Republic. In four species, viz. Allygus maculatus, Edwardsiana plurispinosa, Eupteryx origani, and Kybos strobli, the first detailed data on their occurrence in Bohemia are presented. Sixty two species recorded in the area under study are included in the Red List of Invertebrates of the Czech Republic; the most noteworthy are the critically endangered Pondweed Leafhopper, Erotettix cyane, occurring in the lowland wetlands of the Frýdlant region, and several tyrphobiontic species confined to the well-preserved peatbogs in the Jizerské hory Mts: Cicadula quinquenotata, Cosmotettix panzeri, Macrosteles fieberi, Nothodelphax distincta, and Sorhoanus xanthoneurus. |
