| Description | In the paper I present the key concepts of modern pragmatic theory and on their basis I explain its contribution to the study of argumentation. In the beginning I will explain the difference between pragmatics and semantics, as well as the aims of argumentation. It follows the study of the level of language we use for argumentation. In conclusion, I explain the concept of conversational implicature. |
