Description | The aim of the contribution is to compare methodical procedures for the analysis of selected types water for sensitive isolation and subsequent detection of virus particles from this environment. In order to verify the efficiency as for selection and optimization of the isolation methods, the artificially prepared virus particles derived from bacteriophage MS2 were used. These particles contain a unique sequence inserted into their genome. Detection was performed using reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction which allows quantification of viral load in sample and thus determining the effectiveness of the entire analytical procedure. Based on the experience and results obtained, the most appropriate method of isolation of viral particles from different types of water was selected. |
