| Description | The goal of the study is to indentify impact of parametres of free spaces among houses to the quality of life and to the sustainable development of urbanized territory. Relations among characteristics of free spaces and quality of life and sustainable development were researched by means of 20 case studies. Majority of them were done in various parts of the city Brno, 3 studies were done in the capital of Slovakia - city of Bratislava, and in Wien - capital of Austria. One locality was searched in the city of Graz in southern Austria. Results were compared with ones from city of New York, USA. Research was fulfilled by pasport of greenery in free spaces, measurements of temperature, air humidity, global radiation and level of noise. Results of these ones were compared to that simultanously measured in neighbour street. Social parametres were obtained mainly by questionnaires. Economic parametres were gained from reality agencies and city administrations, but also by field research. Studies proved anticipated impact of free spaces to the life quality and in closed courts to the social cohesiveness of the inhabitants. The influence of the presence and quality of free spaces to the prices of flats and economic prosperity were proved too, but in New York city were much more expresive. The research assertained, the environmental conditions of sustainable development change in cities mostly to hygiena parametres. The results have to induce scientific discussion of present urbanistic theories, especially concerning suitable area and shape of free spaces, their connectivity and vegetation and recreational equipment. |
