Description | The contribution dealt with the specific problems and challenges related to data collecting for Computerized Historical Linguistic Database of the Latin Inscriptions of the Imperial Age, the project of the Research Institute for Linguistics of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and the Latin Department of the Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. The database documents the "mistakes" and deviations from Classical Latin norm, which illustrate the Vulgar Latin development. I presented on the data forms collected from a 5th-century Christian verse inscription (IlAlg 2.3, 8299) found in the Roman province of Numidia (today´s UNESCO cite Cuicul). |
