Description | The article offers a case study based on the analysis of videorecordings of a videoconferencing course for students of legal English from Masaryk University and the University of Helsinki. The corpus was analysed against Principles of Cooperation as presented by Grice and Politeness Maxims as presented by Leech. The aim of the study is to indicate typical situations that lead to the breach of some of these principles and design tasks that would help the language students to overcome such potentionally dangerous situations. |
