| Description | The paper deals with inter-municipal cooperation in the field of waste management, namely the cost effectiveness of municipal waste collection services. A sample of 674 municipalities in the Olomouc and Zlín regions was investigated and two forms of cooperation between municipalities in the area of waste management were emphasized - a joint tender for public procurement for the collection of waste water and a collection company owned by several municipalities. The results, based on regression analysis (OLS regression), show that both forms of inter-municipal collaboration show lower costs for the collection of municipal waste than other forms of security for the service. This impact is stronger for small municipalities up to 1000 inhabitants. |
