Description | The core idea of presented contribution is based on nowdays rising trends of education meant as a route to complexive development of a person and as preparation for understanding the word in a holistic context. Art, as a mean of self-expression and reflexion as well, seems to be an appropriate medium for learning about contemporary pluralist world. Presentation is focused on specific educational situation at art museums and galleries. The art in this context is perceived as a potential and underrated source of suggestions that could mediate a wide range of topics (social, environmental, political, psychological, etc.). Educational programs in galleries could be prepared not in the artecentric way as it is usual, but they could be a platform for discussion about unartistic themes. This approach also brings a lot of questions and difficulties. |
