Description | Studies on the parasite infection of endemic fishes are required for the management and conservation of fish population in natural water bodies. Pseudophoxinus burduricus is a member of the fish family Cyprinidae, It is mainly found in Burdur Endorheic Basin. This study is aimed mainly to investigate the occurrence of Paradiplozoon bliccae parasites of Pseudophoxinus burduricus specifically in a Doganbaba Creek population. Prevalence, intensity and seasonality of infection, length classes and sex compositions of infected population have been monitored and compared with other studies. |
