| Description | We would like to comment on the issue raised in the letter. We agree with the statement that our suggested explanation of lower 1-min Apgar scores is not conclusive – and that there are alternative possibilities, given the absence of data on transplacental transfer of rocuronium 1 mg/kg. Finally, we believe our study reminds us that obstetric general anesthesia may affect both the mother and the child. Our duty is to optimize the outcomes of both. |
