Description | For vast majority of Czech children, the transition from the kindergarten to the first year of the primary school is the first organisational reframing in an institutionalised environment. How pupils cope with the transition is decided by many factors. One of them is the teachers’ everyday pedagogical acting which is influenced by preschool teachers’ beliefs about primary school education and vice versa, primary school teachers’ beliefs about pre-primary education. In other words, it is important to understand how teachers themselves perceive the transition between the two school levels. That is also an aim of a complex research survey in which the authors learn about selected preschool teachers’ beliefs about primary education as well as the beliefs of selected primary school teachers about pre-primary education. Some findings of the research will be presented. |
