Description | The quality of teaching is an abstract term for most of teachers. This is despite the fact that in recent years the demand of laic and professional public for the quality of teaching has grown in all types schools. It is still unclear for teachers how to measure the quality of teaching. Many reported quantitative parameters to ensure a high quality of teaching do not have much to do with learning. The research was focused on technical education at secondary vocational schools in the Czech Republic. In the first part we focused on the theoretical background in the quality of teaching. In the second part we present partial results of the research focused on attitudes and perceptions of technical subject teachers on the quality of teaching. The third part is devoted to the outcomes of the “Community of Practice” project, which is aimed at improving the quality of teaching at secondary vocational schools in the Czech Republic through the sharing of experience among teachers themselves and university methodologists of technical subjects. As a scientific research method, an analysis of available information sources was applied, followed by synthesis and drawing of own critical conclusions. Furthermore then they were used interview and questionnaire. At the data evaluation stage, we used standard statistical methods. |
