Description | Dermatophytoses are fungal infections, most commonly caused by Trichophyton and Microsporum spp. They can be transmitted by direct contact, pegylated keratinocytes or hair. We report a 20-year-old man who was sent to our department for the abscesses in the mons pubis area. Trichophyton mentmjrophytes have been isolated from the skin lesions. Due to the patient's professional exposure to rodents, this zoonosis could be assumed. The first choice medication was oral terbinafine at a dose of 250 mg / day. The treatment was fully succesful. |
