| Description | Book From Markrabina to the Prostřední hora. The Atlas of Historic Maps of Bludov is divided into three basic sections. The first one deals with the historical development of the Bludov territory and buildings; it is finished with a table presenting descriptive numbers of all the houses of Bludov, indicating when the house was probably built. The second section brings explanations and legends to the enclosed maps. The third section represents the seven reprints of old maps embedded in a special pocket. There are two maps from 1741; first and second Military Survey; Stabile cadaster from 1834 and indication sketch of the same cadaster; and also a map of the microtoponyms. The book focuses on the question how can the old maps help us, grunt books and other old sources in the process of uncovering of the history of Bludov. By combining them together, as well as thinking about the connections offered by various information, the forms of the village were reconstructed at various stages of its development. All together, it is intended to help meeting the three main goals pursued by this publication: to promote awareness of historical continuity and raise awareness that we are not the first and perhaps the last dwellers in our village; to promote awareness of the historical development of the landscape and of the village and their face before the start of modernization, which will allow for the future to make landscape changes that are in line with its natural state and thus prevent the undesirable consequences of climate change; to preserve cultural traditions in the form of knowledge of rich local microtoponyms. |
