Description | The research study was carried out to analyze the circumstances of school phobias and the possibilities of their solution in three intentionally selected participants attending the second level of elementary school. Detailed case studies of pupils were compiled using the analysis of specialized documentation, structured interviews with children and their parents, and observation. Long-term pedagogical intervention was implemented in families. It has been shown that some of the important influences resulting in the origin of school phobias lie in family relationship disorders, poor educational or upbringing strategies, lack of time for the child, and a shortage of shared leisure activities. At school, phobias are related to the negative atmosphere of the class, the lack of respect for the pupil’s specific needs, the insufficient appreciation of effort, low motivation and the absence of good friends. Long-term work with the family has been able to reverse this unfavorable situation to a varying extent. |
