Description | The workshop "Practical Experience with Life in the UNESCO World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve" was designed as a one-day training with a focus on different target groups (officials, mayors, entrepreneurs). This workshop was organized by the Biosphere Reserve of Dolní Morava together with Masaryk University in Brno. The workshop, which was funded under the INTERREG V-A SK-CZ Initiative within the framework of the international Czech-Slovak project "UNESCO World Heritage in the Life of Municipalities, Towns and Regions", was designed for all those interested in exchanging experience and ideas in this specific area. During the meeting, the Czech partners presented their presentation on various topics: "The Development of the Cultural Landscape of Lower Moravia" (Jaromír Kolejka, MU Brno), "The Role and Concern of the Mayor of the UNESCO World Heritage" (Libor Kabát, Lednice Village) in the UNESCO World Heritage (Marie Michalicova, Hlohovec Village), "Nature Protection in the Cultural Landscape of Lower Moravia" (Stanislav Koukal, AOPK Brno), "The Life of Hunters in Cultural Landscape" (Petr Čupa, BR Dolní Morava and David Janota). The Slovak partners then contributed with a presentation titled "How to live in Vlkolínec, a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Jozef Basary, Ružomberok). All participants highly appreciated the presented practical views on how daily activities are influenced by the UNESCO Statute and at the same time appreciated the widening of the viewpoint on the issue of cultural landscape management. |
