| Description | The second part of the lecture series Nominalization II analyzes a range of nominalizations / nominals (based on Grimshaw, Alexiadou, Borer inter alia) within the morphemic-based approach of word size nominations. Based on the size of the verbal structure embedded structure in the n- / D-context different types of nominals with similar meaning and distribution can be distinguished, which form a scale: verbal gerunds, verbo-nominal gerunds, nominal gerunds; unclear is the status of zero derived nominals. |
