Description | Portfolio is considered as an important tool for teacher evaluation. On the other hand, it can serve for the teacher themselves as a mean for personal professional growth. The teacher can exploit the portfolio twice: Firstly, during the creation by perceiving own advantages and deficiencies in the teaching practice. Secondly by using the portfolio as a proof of passed educational practice to the authority's inspection. This paper brings some proposal how to use the pedagogical and professional experiences in the teaching practice of the vocational technical subjects, especially at secondary schools, to the portfolio creation. Collection of data for teachers own portfolio followed by sorting the materials can aimed to the analysis serving to the more effective teaching practice. The authors present a good example of how to present knowledge from the teaching of technical subjects in the portfolio. It is an advantage to use an ePortfolio, eventually placed on a web portal that allows audio/video recording. Finally, this paper gives evidence of the importance of a comprehensive and systematic storage of practical experience of the teacher, not only for its own use. |
