Description | Brotherhood and confederation of St. John of Nepomuk at the Zelená Hora near Žďár, founded in 1723, could be understood as an important tool connecting the outer world with the convent in Saar. Abbot Vejmluva's decision to establish a brotherhood of St. John of Nepomuk and also an elitist confederation under the same title on the Green Mountain near Monastery of Saar, perhaps a comparable meaning and value that we give to today the unique Santinian architecture of the place of pilgrimage. During the period of the abbey of Vejmluva, and even later, it was precisely the two fraternities which gave the place of pilgrimage and the penitent the extraordinary influx of believers and not insignificant income. |
