Description | For a long time, lexical units of the sign languages were considered as iconic holistic signs. Only in the in the sixties of the twentieth century, William Stokoe claimed the American Sign Language to have the basic quality of a nature language – the duality of pattering. In this talk I show this characteristic on the data from Czech Sign Language. I introduce the groups of phonemes in this language on the examples of corresponding minimal pairs. |
