Description | The paper presents a basic overview of the issue of providing public access to electronic theses and dissertations from copyright’s law perspective in the Czech Republic. The first part introduces the purpose of this institute as well as the development of legal regulation. The second part identifies and discusses the emerging problems of the current regulation, especially the ones related to providing online access to theses. The third part presents the relevant existing Czech case law. The last part proposes possible evaluates the applicability of the existing case law to the current regulation and recommends how achieve the desired balance of the two legal obligations (access providing and copyright protection). |
