Description This paper gives an account of a focused intervention carried out to examine how the accuracy of advanced learners´ language can be affected. In this study, three groups, pilot, experimental and control, of advanced Czech university students majoring in English were tested for accuracy. All students took a grammaticality judgement test (GJ), and a Certainty-based marking evaluation (CBM). The pilot and experimental groups then attended in a blended course aimed at the most problematic areas caused by L1 interference. All groups took a post-test, the results were compared and analysed, and the efficiency of the intervention evaluated. Despite a number of limitations, the low number of participants in particular, the preliminary results show an increase in accuracy in all groups. This paper presents an analysis of GJ and CBM testing.
