Description | Since the beginning of the 19th century, questions about the role and legitimacy of Czech nation and Czech national philosophy have repeatedly been raised. The legitimacy of Czech nation and Czech philosophy has never been taken for granted and has always been questioned and justified. The basic aspects of Czech philosophy in the 19th and 20th centuries included a constant focus on man and society, an interest in philosophy of history, the problem of a small nation in Central Europe and the attempt to utilize influences from various European and broader linguistic, social and cultural areas. One of the permanent features of Czech philosophy is its connection to topical issues of national and individual life. |
