| Description | This chapter provides an elementary overlook of various forms of international (judicial) cooperation in criminal matters. It explains its roots and development, emphasizing especially the development within EU, lists out and describes its most important legal documents, explains basic forms of international judicial cooperation in criminal matters (especially "classical" extradition and surrender based on European Arrest Warrant, mutual recognition of decisions and legal assistance in so called narrow sense), its institutions and their role etc. A short excursus into the international cooperation with international criminal tribunals and with International Criminal Court is also added. |
