Description | The presentation analyzes Spartan women, female education, fashion, and role of sport in ancient Sparta. The basic part of the presentation is the description of sport and sports activities of Spartan women and of the role of Kyniska, Spartan princess and the sister of Agesilaus II. Further, the paper introduces the Plato´s ideal state, lifestyle of Spartan females and the comparison of the female education in Sparta and other poleis in ancient Greece. |
