| Description | Since its inception, the Textile in the Museum conference has been profiling itself as a place of interdisciplinary meeting of museum workers, galleries, heritage institutes, university workplaces, conservatories and other experts dealing with textile issues from various angles. There is a central theme for the conference every year, with conference contributions. This year, the main focus of the conference is on small textile techniques in the field of embroidery and lace, usually referred to as flatwork by hand. These art activities were usually associated with the female world of almost all social groups. Their products appeared in women's and men's wardrobes, as well as in home furnishings and church interiors. |
