Description | The paper will give an account of the issue of Holocaust education in museum institutions on the example of the Museum of Roma Culture. The Museum opens the question of education about these tragic events in the time when it is planned to open a memorial in Hodonín u Kunštátu and to build a memorial in Lety u Písku. This is where the so-called Gypsy camps used to be, places which are connected with the tragic fates of the Roma and the Sinti during the Second World War. Both places offer a look at similar historical events, but at the same time they open up space for different visitor experiences and accompanying educational topics. The paper presents these places and focuses on presenting the museum's current experience with such educational programs and their vision. |
